Visiting Sea Lions In Cabo San Lucas

Different parts of the world have different types of species.  This means that what one city may have, you may not be able to find it in any other city.  This is what makes traveling so exciting; you not only get to experience a new culture, cuisine, and way of life, but you can also see the different marine life and animals that a certain city has.  This is why when people visit Cabo San Lucas, they get excited about seeing the sea lions.

Although sea lions can be found in other cities around the world, they are mainly found along the Pacific coast.  These marine mammals are members of the suborder Pinnipedia.  These sea lions, along with seals, constitute the Otariidae family.  In Mexico, there are a total of 4 different types of sea lions, and all of them can be found in Cabo San Lucas.  This includes seals, California sea lions, sea elephants, and thin-skinned sea lions.

These mammals are now accustomed to being around humans, which is why they are curious and friendly with the humans that visit them in Los Cabos.  In fact, we have different tours that will take you to see these gentle creatures.  For instance, our Breakfast Snorkel Cruise is a great Cabo snorkeling tour  that takes you to the Lion Colony.  At the Lion colony, you’ll be able to see these amazing mammals before heading to Chileno Bay for a great snorkeling experience.

Another tour that we offer is the Glass Bottom Kayak/Snorkel Tour at the Arch.  On this tour, we’ll take you to the famous Arch, where sea lions and seals hang out to take in the sun.  Aside from admiring them, you’ll get to enjoy your Cabo snorkeling tour and kayaking experience.

When you’re in Cabo San Lucas, it’s worthwhile to go and visit the sea lions here.  For more information on our tours, contact us at Only Cabo Tours.
